Pro Musica Choir

PRO MUSICA was formed over 15 years ago with the intention of creating a greater awareness of fine music within the Reformed community of Southern Ontario. The Bible tells us that music is a wonderful God-given talent, and a major part of our praise to God. Now under the direction of Brent Fifield, the choir has performed many works from a full range of composers, dating from the 16th to the 20th centuries, with a particular focus on exploring various harmonization's of the traditional Genevan psalm settings, as well as early English church music.

The choir generally performs three concerts a year, as well as making appearances in communities within Ontario. In 1996, the choir produced its first recording, O Sing Joyfully, available on both CD and cassette, and followed this up with a second CD, Unto the Hills, in 1999. The choir draws its membership from all over southern Ontario and holds regular rehearsals in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.
